  • 1 bag (750 g) Arctic Gardens - Brussellian Style vegetables
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) white pepper or pepper
  • Pinch Nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) fresh bread crumbs


  1. In large pot of boiling water, cover and steam Bruxellian Style Mix until tender-crisp, about 4 minutes. Drain and chill under cold water; drain well. Wrap in kitchen towel and gently press out excess water.
  2. In saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; whisk in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Reduce heat and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring, just until simmering and thickened, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese.
  3. Spread vegetable mixture in greased 8-inch (2 L) square baking dish. Pour sauce over top; sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake in 400 oF (200 oC) oven until bubbly, about 25 minutes. Broil until crumbs are golden, 2 to 3 minutes.
